Russell Lees Jr., LEED AP BD+C

Chief Executive Officer

Russell Lees Jr. has over 20 years of construction experience, and has specialized in commercial interior construction since 2006. Russell‘s experience in commercial construction is in all delivery types; from owner’s representation, design/build, cost plus, to traditional design/bid/build. He has managed construction projects across all phases of construction and in many use types such as office, government, healthcare, educational, religious, restaurant, and retail commercial projects.

Russell Lees Jr. started his career in the field and worked his way up to a team lead and interned as a supervisor on large commercial projects over $20 million. Russell eventually moved into the management segment of construction where he has been a part of managing multi-million dollar projects in both major aspects of the project: pre-construction and construction operations. He has managed or been on the management team for projects ranging in size from 2,000 square feet to over 192,000 square feet; valuing from $20,000 to over $20 million.

He spent the first several years of his construction management career working in the pre-construction phase of where he concentrated on planning and defining the project scope and requirements. This experienced entailed the development of detailed scope sheets for all trades, working out project planning among trades, establishing detailed subcontractor pricing, overseeing the subcontractor competitive bid process, and purchasing contracts.

Eventually Russell moved on to operations where has managed projects from the pre-construction phase to include design management, project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, permitting and into the construction phase where he executed the long range project plan and day to day operations of the construction project to close out.

Russell graduated with honors from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston Massachusetts with a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management. He has his Certified General Contractors license in the state of Florida and his Construction Supervisors License in Massachusetts, as well as an OSHA Certification, and is an Accredited Professional of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for New Construction and Development from the United States Green Building Council.

Russell Lees, Sr.

Operations/Development

Supervised and managed at the executive level with the demonstrated ability to deliver mission-critical results. Over 5 years of international business and contracting experience working with several different countries and local national vendors in support of the United States Government global interests. He is an accomplished leader specializing in corporate development and strategic planning with successful delivery of mission-critical results on time and within budget. Russell Lees Sr. has overseen military construction projects sizing over $100 million dollars at MacDill AFB and in Afghanistan from concept to completion for the Central Command.

Cody Ross

Construction Manager

Cody Ross has over ten years experience in the construction industry specializing in interior renovations, new construction and remodeling construction. He excels in managing and overseeing projects with the main objective to produce the highest quality of work and to stay on schedule and on budget. Cody Ross’ unique and wide-ranging skill set enables him to successfully contribute in a variety of roles including project management, resource planning, developing schedules, cost estimating, budget development, quality control, and most importantly team leadership. His personal approach and extensive experience in the field allows him to ultimately succeed in managing any construction project.

Eric Bradshaw

Assistant Supervisor

Eric was one of the first supervising assistants when Vertical Builders began. Originally from Taunton Massachusetts, Eric began work in the construction field as a steel worker in Boston working in the field for 20 years. He than began work in the roofing industry. He made his way to Florida five years ago with his wife and three daughters. Eric is a key player on all our job sites as an assistant supervisor highly skilled in painting, carpentry, demolition and little of everything in between – making sure all aspects of the job are done with precision and professionalism.
